III) 1. I have a 3.5-ton truck in my company. It did not come with any mudguard when I first bought it. Does it need a plastic mudguard now?
Absolutely! It is under the HK Ordinance that all commercial trucks running in HK have to have approved mudguards and mudflaps fixed in the correct position before a your vehicle registration license is renewed.
As stated clearly by the Commissioner for Transport on the Road Traffic (Construction & Maintenance of Vehicles) Regulations (Chapter 374) on 1 June, 1998, mudguards and mudflaps are part of the requirements for ALL vehicles. These wheel guards shall be so designed as to protect road users, as far as possible, against thrown-up stones, mud, ice, snow and water and to reduce the dangers of those users of coming into contact with the rotating wheels.

Some of the specifications excerpt:
* the maximum height of the bottom edge of the mudflap should not exceed 230 mm;
* the mudflap should be at least as wide as the tyre tread pattern;
* components of the wheel guards should be firmly attached to the vehicle; and
* for vehicles with multiple axles, tyres should be treated as separated for mudguarding
purpose if the
distance between them on two parallel axles is greater than 300 mm.

Yes, we do. We offer light bulbs that range from 6 Volts to 24 Volts, and from low wattage signal lamps to high power headlamps. We haven't encountered any requirements that we cannot meet so far. If you do need some special light bulbs that cannot find elsewhere, give us a call or send us a email. We would be happy to give you a quotation. |
